S&P lift Orange view to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Orange SA to stable from negative.

The agency also said it affirmed the company’s BBB+ corporate credit rating and related issue ratings.

The outlook revision follows Orange's improved performance in key markets, notably France and Spain, S&P said.

The company’s operations in both countries are currently stabilizing their top lines, despite continued fierce competition, the agency said.

The improved performance is mainly a result of the company's acceleration of the upgrade of its fixed-line network in both France and Spain, S&P said.

The company’s competitive advantage is constrained by fierce competition and tough regulatory environments, the agency added.
