New Issue: Oragenics settles placement of shares for $1.17 million

Des Moines, Aug. 8 - Oragenics, Inc. completed a private placement of shares for $1.17 million.

Most of the shares involved in the placement were priced at $0.25 each. About 110,000 of the shares were bought by Oragenic's newly appointed director, Ronald P. Evens, and were priced at $0.44 each.

In total, 4.6 million shares were sold in the deal.

Investors also received warrants for an equal number of shares. The warrants are exercisable at $0.58 per share for one year.

Proceeds will be used for clinical development of the company's technologies and for general corporate purposes.

Oragenics is a biopharmaceutical company based in Alachua, Fla.
