Optim Energy approval hearing on $126 million sale of assets canceled

New York, Aug. 6 – Optim Energy, LLC’s Aug. 7 hearing to approve the $126 million sale of its Optim Energy Twin Oaks, LP assets to Major Oak Power LLC has been cancelled, according to an Aug. 6 notice with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

No new date has been set, but the company is expected to file an amended sale proposal with the court.

As previously reported, Optim named Major Oak the winning bidder for the assets on Aug. 5.

Twin Oaks Power, LLC was named the backup bidder with a final offer of $121.5 million.

Optim, a Silver Spring, Md.-based power plant owner, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 12. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-10262.
