New York, Oct. 11 - Opsens Inc. settled a private placement for C$1,175,000.
The company issued 2,937,500 units at C$0.40 each. The units include one share and one warrant. Each warrant is exercisable at C$0.60 through Oct. 11, 2008.
Le Fonds d'investissement Actions-Croissance PME Inc. subscribed for C$600,000 of the offering.
Desjardins Securities Inc. was the placement agent.
Opsens was formed by the merger of DCB Capital Inc. and 9174-3369 Quebec Inc. on Oct. 4. Trading of Opsens securities will resume under the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Exchange ticker symbol "OPS."
Located in Quebec City, Opsens develops fiber optic sensors and signal conditioners.
