Oppenheimer Small- & Mid-Cap Growth Fund now measures market caps against Russell growth indexes
By Toni Weeks
San Diego, March 28 - The Oppenheimer Small- & Mid-Cap Growth Fund has modified its principal investment strategy, changing the indexes from which it determines the market capitalizations of the companies it invests in.
According to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the fund will now invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in companies whose market capitalizations range from the company with the smallest market capitalization in the Russell 2000 Growth index to the company with the largest market capitalization in the Russell MidCap Growth index.
Previously, the fund invested at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in companies whose market capitalizations ranged from the company with the smallest market capitalization in the Russell 2000 index to the company with the largest market capitalization in the Russell MidCap index.
Aurora, Colo-based OppenheimerFunds, Inc. is the fund's investment adviser.
