Oppenheimer adds three new hires to debt capital markets business

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 25 – Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. added Kimberly Boulmetis, Robert Fischer and Sanjeev Khurana to its debt capital markets business, according to a press release.

The new hires are responsible for origination and structuring of new issue debt instruments. Together, they will help service Oppenheimer's investment banking clients by utilizing the capabilities of its capital markets divisions.

"The extensive capabilities brought to the firm by these individuals illustrate the power of a full-service platform designed to service middle market corporate issuers," Robert Lowenthal, head of U.S. investment banking and global fixed income for Oppenheimer, said in the release.

"This group is another example of how Oppenheimer's investment banking and capital markets divisions can provide solutions to growing companies throughout their capital structures. We are thrilled to have such highly-qualified individuals delivering much needed solutions to the market."

Boulmetis joins the Firm with more than 20 years of experience from Incapital and Bernstein Global Wealth Management in the areas of investment management for high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and endowments, and small to medium-sized businesses. She also served as the head of DCM's financial institutions origination group at Calyon Securities and Bank of New York.

Fischer also joins from Incapital, where he served as head of origination. Fischer has a background in DCM and was previously a senior member of Bear Stearn's DCM and global liability management group.

Khurana brings more than 20 years of experience in private capital raising, institutional sales, origination, structuring and investments to Oppenheimer. His relationships with a number of partners, including lenders and issuers, will help elevate the firm's presence in the space, the release said.

Oppenheimer provides a full range of wealth management, securities brokerage and investment banking services and is based in New York.
