Oppenheimer names Mancini head of institutional municipal trading

Chicago, Jan. 12 – Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. announced it has hired securities veteran Anthony Mancini to oversee the company’s institutional municipal bond trading in New York.
He will also trade institutional tax-exempt bonds with a maturity rate of 15 years or less and will report to Robert Lowenthal, senior managing director and global head of fixed income, according to a news release.
Mancini will join Cyndi Pinto, head of institutional municipal bond sales, and John Rodstrom, head of public finance, in the firm’s Municipal Capital Markets Group.
Mancini was most recently head of municipal bond trading at TD Securities. Before that, he was a municipal bond trader at Morgan Stanley and spent 13 years in the municipal bond department of J.P. Morgan Securities.
Oppenheimer is a New York-based investment bank and full-service investment firm. The company is a subsidiary of Oppenheimer Holdings Inc.
