Arlington Tankers considers strategic alternatives

Charlotte, N.C., June 20 - Arlington Tankers Ltd. is reviewing strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value with the assistance of Jefferies & Co., Inc., according to a company statement released on Friday.

The alternatives may include the purchase of another company, the sale or merger of Arlington Tankers, other strategic transactions or the continued execution of the company's current operating plan.

Arlington Tankers, a Hamilton, Bermuda, seaborne transportation company, cautioned there can be no assurance that its review will result in any transaction.
