New Issue: Zapata sells $29.04 million in Omega Protein stock

New York, Dec. 7 - Zapata Corp. sold $29,041,529 of Omega Protein Corp. stock to a group of institutional investors.
The 5,232,708 shares, sold at $5.55 each, represent all of Zapata's holdings in Omega Protein.
The shares were sold to Special Situations Fund III QP, LP; Special Situations Fund III, LP; Special Situations Cayman Fund, LP; Special Situations Private Equity Fund, LP; Franklin Microcap Value Fund; Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value, LP; Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value, LP I; and Channel Partnership II, LP.
D.A. Davidson & Co. was the placement agent.
Omega, based in Houston, processes fish meal and fish oil products.
