New Issue: Olathe, Kan., prices $55.75 million in G.O. temporary notes

New York, May 7 - The city of Olathe in Kansas priced $55.745 million in series 2009A general obligation temporary notes, according to an issuer source.

The notes are due June 1, 2010, with a 1.25% coupon, priced at par.

J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. won the competitive bid with a 0.52% net interest cost.

The city decided not to sell its planned $21.65 million in series 212 general obligation bonds.

Proceeds will be used for capital improvements.
