Okapi Partners announces Jon Einsidler as managing director

By Tali Rackner

Norfolk, Va., May 2 - Okapi Partners LLC announced that it has named Jon Einsidler as a managing director to work for the firm's list of clients involved in proxy contests, mergers, tender offers and other investor response campaigns, according to a press release.

His appointment follows the hiring of Michael Fein as a senior managing director in March, bringing Okapi's senior management team to seven executives.

"Jon has a long history as a successful proxy solicitor, and his relationships with influential investors will benefit our clients immensely," president and chief executive officer Bruce H. Goldfarb said in the release. "Our senior management team is now one of the strongest in the proxy solicitation industry, and Jon's addition will bolster our strategic execution capabilities."

Einsidler has been engaged in investor response campaigns and proxy solicitation work for more than 20 years. Before joining Okapi, he spent more than 14 years at Georgeson as a senior managing director, three years as a partner with Laurel Hill Advisory Group and three with AST Phoenix Advisors, where he was one of the founding partners.

Prior to working in proxy solicitation, Einsidler was an investment banker for twelve years, most notably with EuroPartners Securities Corp., where he was vice president and department head for corporate finance.

Okapi is a New York-based investor response firm.
