S&P lowers Oi view to negative

Standard & Poor’s said it revised the outlook on Oi SA to negative from stable.

The agency also said it affirmed all of the ratings on the company, including its BB+ global scale and brAA+ national scale corporate credit ratings.

The negative outlook reflects a view that the company may fail to significantly improve its profitability and credit metrics as previously expected, S&P said.

This stems from challenging macroeconomic conditions and market competition, the agency said.
