S&P might lift OCI Beaumont

Standard & Poor's said it placed its B corporate credit rating and B+ senior secured issue rating on OCI Beaumont LLC on CreditWatch with positive implications.

The action follows the recent announcement that higher-rated CF Industries Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire OCI NV's 80% ownership in OCI Beaumont.

"Given the higher credit rating at CF Industries, we believe the proposed combination will improve OCI Beaumont's credit quality," S&P credit analyst Paul Kurias said in a news release.
