Prospect News reports 10 new defaults for week of June 25 to July 1

Pittsburgh, July 2 – Prospect News reported 10 new defaults for the week of June 25 through July 1.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made by NPC International Inc., Grupo Aeromexico SAB de CV, Covia Holdings Corp., Old Time Pottery, LLC, Lilis Energy Inc., Chesapeake Energy Corp., Grupo Famsa SAB de CV and Sable Permian Resources LLC, a Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act filing made by Cirque du Soleil and a missed interest payment on Grupo Posadas, SAB de CV’s 7 7/8% senior notes due 2022.

In addition, Prospect News reported missed interest and principal payments on Reliance Capital Ltd.’s non-convertible debentures. However, Reliance previously defaulted in connection with several other missed payments.

So far in 2020, Prospect News has reported 165 defaults, including 118 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, 21 missed interest payments, six missed principal payments, five CCAA filings, four missed payments, three each of Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings and Chapter 15 bankruptcy filings, two missed principal and interest payments and one each of administrations, restructurings and Danish Section 11b filings.

The eight companies that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week listed a total of $16.813 billion of assets and $16.205 billion in debt.
