Argentina's Argentoil to sell $6 million series I notes due 2012

Pittsburgh, Aug. 29 - Argentoil SA will offer up to $6 million of series I notes due 2012 under its $15 million global notes program, according to a news release.

Arpenta Sociedad de Bolsa SA is the placement agent.

The notes will be sold at par.

The subscription period began Friday and will run through Sept. 4.

The minimum subscription amount is $1,000, and the notes can be purchased in increments of $1,000 thereafter.

Fitch Argentina Calificadora de Riesgo SA has rated the notes BB(arg)+.

Argentoil is a Buenos Aires manufacturer of high-pressure cylinders.
