Northern States Power intends to issue green first mortgage bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., June 8 – Northern States Power Co. is selling green first mortgage bonds, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, MUFG, U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the bookrunners. BMO Capital Markets Corp. and BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC are the senior co-managers, and Fifth Third Securities Inc. and Loop Capital Markets LLC are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used for eligible green expenditures.

The electric and natural gas utility is based in Minneapolis.
