S&P affirms North-West Telecom

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BB- long-term corporate credit and ruAA- Russia national-scale ratings on North-West Telecom (JSC).

The outlook is stable.

The agency said that the ratings are constrained by its expectation of deterioration in North-West Telecom's financial risk profile, heavily driven by a peak in capital expenditures scheduled for the next two years.

Limited revenue diversification and intense competition in the broadband market also limit the ratings, the agency noted.
