Nomura files automatic shelf registration covering debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 30 - Nomura America Finance, LLC and Nomura Holdings, Inc. jointly filed a debt securities automatic shelf registration in an F-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds from the securities, which may be structured as convertibles and will be guaranteed by Nomura Holdings, will be used to make investments and loans, hedge the company's exposure under the securities and for general corporate purposes.

The financial services company is based in Tokyo.
