Fitch rates Nomura notes A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Nomura Holdings, Inc.'s five-, seven- and 10-year dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes issued on Monday an A- rating.

The rating is aligned with Nomura's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating because they constitute the company's direct, unconditional, unsubordinated and unsecured obligations and rank equally with its other unsecured senior obligations, Fitch said.

The notes will count towards NHI's total loss-absorption capacity requirements, and will be structurally subordinated to the liabilities of NHI's subsidiaries.

The outlook is stable.
