NN Investment hires emerging markets portfolio manager Jared Lou

Norfolk, Va., March 17 – NN Investment Partners (formerly ING Investment Management) announced that Jared Lou has joined the emerging markets debt team as a portfolio manager.

Based in New York, Lou will be reinforcing the emerging markets debt team and will report to Marco Ruijer, lead portfolio manager. His main focus will be on the Latin American countries for the EMD Hard Currency strategies, according to a press release.

Lou previously worked with the emerging market debt team Grantham, Mayo, van Otterloo based in Boston, where he was a sovereign analyst.

“We are expanding our emerging market debt (EMD) team to accommodate the growing interest in this sector,” Marcelo Assalin, head of emerging market debt, said in the release.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jared Lou to our EMD team at NN Investment Partners. He has strong academic credentials and substantial experience with EMD sovereigns. We believe that this combination will make him a valuable addition to our EMD team.”

NN Investment is the asset management arm of NN Group NV.
