New York Racing Association posts $3.92 million January operating loss

Pittsburgh, Feb. 15 - The New York Racing Association, Inc. reported a $3.92 million January operating loss on net revenues of $9.02 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures show improvement over a $7.06 million December operating loss on net revenues of $4.61 million.

The net loss for January was also $3.92 million, improved from a $7.06 million December net loss.

Cash at Jan. 31 was $14.18 million, compared with $20.79 million at the end of December.

The New York Racing Association filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 2. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-12618.
