New Orleans Archdiocese reports $952,359 profit for October period

Olympia, Wash., Nov. 30 – The Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans reported a $952,359 profit for October on $13.32 million of gross income, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
In comparison, the diocese reported a $7.56 million net loss for September on $5.71 million of gross income.
The diocese had a cash balance of $41.55 million at the end of October, down from $45.36 million at the end of September.
The archdiocese filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 1, 2020. The case number is 20-10846.
