Fitch rates Nations Trust Bank debt A-(lka)

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Nations Trust Bank plc's national long-term rating at A(lka), and assigned an A-(lka) rating to its proposed subordinated debenture issue of up to LKR1.5 billion.

The outlook is stable.

The rating reflects its modest profitability and capitalization, Fitch said.

The rating of the proposed debenture takes into account that the issue will rank as subordinated to the bank's existing senior debt, the agency said.
