Musicland posts $924,000 EBITDA loss for June

Pittsburgh, July 18 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $924,000 EBITDA loss for June on zero net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures compare to a $1.17 million EBITDA loss in May, also on zero net sales.

The operating loss for June was $2.07 million, down from a $10.6 million May operating loss.

The June net loss was $1.18 million, down from an $11.13 million May net loss.

Cash on June 30 was $52.8 million, compared with $56.11 million at the end of May.

Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
