Musicland posts $241,000 October EBITDA loss

Pittsburgh, Nov. 16 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $241,000 EBITDA loss for October on zero net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The EBITDA loss improved from a $273,000 EBITDA loss for September, also on zero net sales.
The operating income for October was $113,000, up from a $196,000 September operating loss.
The net earnings for October were $27,000, compared with $1.51 million of September net earnings.
Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
