Musicland reports $29,000 March EBITDA loss

Pittsburgh, April 13 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $29,000 EBITDA loss for March on zero net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The EBITDA loss decreased from a $58,000 February EBITDA loss, which was also on zero net sales.

The operating loss for March was $762,000, slipping from a $299,000 February operating loss.

The March net loss was $2.04 million, improved from a $3.97 million February net loss.

Cash on March 31 was $12.03 million, compared with $11.76 million on Feb. 28.

Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
