Musicland plan confirmation, effective date deadlines pushed back
By Caroline Salls
Pittsburgh, March 30 - Musicland Holding Corp.'s deadlines by which its plan of liquidation must be confirmed and the plan must become effective were extended in connection with the postponement of the plan confirmation hearing, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The plan confirmation deadline was extended to April 30 from March 30 and the effective date deadline to May 31 from April 30.
The deadlines are part of a stipulation between the company, its official committee of unsecured creditors and an informal committee of secured trade vendors.
As previously reported, the plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for April 26.
Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
