Musicland posts $344,000 November operating loss

Pittsburgh, Dec. 27 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $344,000 operating loss for November on zero net sales, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The operating loss showed a decline from a $137,000 operating loss for October, when the company also posted zero net sales.

The net loss for November was $296,000, widening from a $30,000 October net loss.

Cash on Nov. 30 was $11.78 million, compared with $12.08 million at the end of October.

Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
