Musicland posts $78,000 December EBITDA loss

Pittsburgh, Jan. 19 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $78,000 EBITDA loss for December on zero net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The EBITDA loss declined from a $344,000 November EBITDA loss.

The operating loss for December was $4.75 million, up from an $835,000 November operating loss.

The December net loss was $2.3 million, up from a $602,000 net loss for November.

Cash on Dec. 31 was $12.31 million, compared with $28.22 million on Nov. 30.

Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
