MTU Aero starts consent solicitation for 8¼% notes

New York, Dec. 7 - MTU Aero Engines Investment GmbH said it has begun soliciting consents to amend the indenture of its 8¼% senior notes due 2014.

The company is seeking to be allowed to meet its reporting requirements by providing consolidated financial and other information for its immediate parent MTU Aero Engines Holding AG. The change would save management time and expense and reduce the company's administration burden.

Holders who consent will receive €0.60 per €1,000 principal amount of notes.

The solicitation ends at 9 a.m. ET on Dec. 20.

MTU needs consents from holders of a majority of the notes to make the change.

Bank of New York is tabulation agent (44 20 7964-5144).

MTU is a Munich, Germany-based aircraft engine component manufacturer and provider of engine repair services.
