Goldman plans leveraged buffered notes due 2021 tied to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, July 6 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Jan. 29, 2021 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of between $1,230 and $1,260 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.

The notes will price on July 26.

The Cusip number is 40055QJM5.
