Fitch affirms Mozambique

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Mozambique's B foreign- and B+ local-currency long-term issuer default ratings, B short-term issuer default rating and B country ceiling.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the affirmation of Mozambique's ratings balances an impressive growth performance, prudent macroeconomic management and a track record of good governance against very low per capita incomes, a poor business climate and the recent deterioration in government transparency.
