S&P affirms Aqua Pennsylvania

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its A+ corporate credit rating on Aqua Pennsylvania Inc.

The affirmation follows its annual surveillance on the company and incorporates our expectation of adequate and timely rate relief and continued management of the growth strategy to maintain a financial risk profile appropriate for the rating, the agency noted.

The outlook is stable.

S&P said that the ratings on Aqua Pennsylvania reflect the consolidated credit quality of its parent, Aqua America Inc. (unrated). Aqua Pennsylvania accounts for more than one-half of consolidated Aqua America's revenues and cash flow.
