Former General Motors operating loss shrinks to $958,000 in November

Pittsburgh, Jan. 11 - Motors Liquidation Co., formerly General Motors Corp., reported a $958,000 operating loss for November on $1.11 million in rental income, according to its monthly operating report filed Jan. 10 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
In comparison, the company posted a $2.13 million operating loss for October on $1.24 million in rental income.
The net loss for November was $10.17 million, narrowing from an $11.37 million October net loss.
Motors Liquidation had $250.97 million of cash and cash equivalents on Nov. 30, up slightly from $250.65 million at the end of October.
GM, a Detroit-based automaker, filed for bankruptcy on June 1, 2009. The new General Motors Corp. emerged from Chapter 11 on July 10, 2009, and Motors Liquidation's Chapter 11 case number is 09-50026.
