St. Louis, July 28 - Price talk of 6½%-6¾% emerged Monday on Morris Publishing Group LLC's upcoming sale of $200 million 10-year senior subordinated notes (Ba3/B+), according to a market source.

The deal is expected to price on Tuesday, the source added.

JP Morgan is the bookrunner on the Rule 144A deal. Wachovia Securities, Inc., BNY, Fleet Securities, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, McDonald Investments and Stephens Inc. are co-managers.

The notes will be non-callable for five years.

The Augusta, Ga.-based newspaper publisher will use proceeds to repay bank debt.
