Knoxville, Tenn., July 19 – Monroe Capital Corp. will sell 2.75 million common shares in a public sale with a 30-day greenshoe of 412,500 additional shares, according to a preliminary prospectus supplement filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Raymond James, Baird, William Blair and Janney Montgomery Scott LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt under the company’s credit facility, to invest in portfolio companies and for general corporate purposes.

Chicago-based Monroe Capital is a publicly traded specialty finance company that principally invests in senior, unitranche and junior secured debt and, to a lesser extent, unsecured subordinated debt and equity investments in middle-market companies.
