Mohegan Tribal Gaming cancels $14.3 million in 8 3/8% senior subordinated notes due 2011

Knoxville, Tenn., April 30 - Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority extinguished about $14.3 million of its outstanding 8 3/8% senior subordinated notes due July 1, 2011 on March 18, according to a company earnings report.

The company saw an $8.5 million gain on early extinguishment of debt in connection with this transaction.

There were approximately $2 million of the notes outstanding as of March 3.

Mohegan is an Uncasville, Conn., casino owner-operator.
