Mohawk Industries files automatic shelf for stock, preferreds, debt

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 29 - Mohawk Industries, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, units, warrants and purchase contracts

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The Calhoun, Ga.-based carpet manufacturer said proceeds from the offerings will be used for general corporate purposes.
