MMFX Technologies affiliates request extension of exclusivity periods

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 16 - MMFX International Holdings, Inc. and MMFX Canadian Holdings, Inc. asked the court to extend its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a plan of liquidation, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

The company wants to extend its exclusive filing period to April 12 from Feb. 28 and the solicitation period to June 13 from March 31.

A hearing date has not been set.

The revised dates will sync up with the those of their affiliated debtors, including MMFX Technologies Corp., in the jointly administered case, the filing said.

MMFX Technologies, an Irvine, Calif.-based materials science company, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 14, 2010. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-27572.
