Russia's Norilsk Nickel has no plans to issue convertible bonds

Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 19 - OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel does not plan to issue convertible bonds in case poor market conditions persist, according to a company news release.

Dmitry Kostoev, deputy general director and head of economics and finance, said that the company has enough options to attract the financing needed to implement its strategic goals without issuing convertibles.

Norilsk Nickel is a mining and metals company based in Moscow.
