Mission Energy to repay some bank debt with asset sale proceeds

New York, Oct. 4 - Edison Mission Energy plans to repay a portion of Mission Energy Holdings International Inc.'s $800 million secured loan with proceeds from the already completed sale of Universal Holdings to Origin Energy New Zealand Ltd. for about $739 million.

Edison Mission Energy is a subsidiary of Rosemead, Calif.-based utility company Edison International.
