Milacron reports $2.1 million May net operating loss; sales decline

Pittsburgh, June 24 - Milacron, Inc. reported a $2.1 million net operating loss for May on $18.33 million in total sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The figures compare with the $2.74 million net operating loss posted for April on $18.95 million in total sales.

The net loss for May was $8.53 million, narrowing from a $10.41 million April net loss.

The company had $5.41 million in cash and cash equivalents at May 31, up from $4.93 million at the end of April.

Milacron, a Cincinnati-based supplier of plastics-processing technologies and industrial fluids, filed for bankruptcy on March 10. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11235.
