M/I Homes lacks quorum at preferreds meeting; no directors nominated

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Jan. 15 - M/I Homes Inc. said no board members were nominated at a meeting on Tuesday for holders of its 9¾% series A preferred shares due to an absence of a quorum.

No other business was conducted as well, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

M/I Homes said it is not required to call any further special meetings to nominate series A preferred directors under its amended and restated articles of incorporation.

The company also said it is prohibited from paying dividends on the preferreds as a result of restrictions in the indenture.

M/I Homes is a Columbus, Ohio-based builder of single-family homes.
