Appalachian Power announces plan to price series Y senior notes

Knoxville, Tenn., March 4 – Appalachian Power Co. plans to price an offering of series Y senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, MUFG and SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc. are the bookrunners. Academy Securities Inc., C.L. King & Associates Inc. and Williams Capital Group LP are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Appalachian Power is a Columbus, Ohio-based electric utility.
