Midwest Banc's unsecured creditors committee appointed by U.S. Trustee

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 29 - Midwest Banc Holdings, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by U.S. Trustee William T. Neary, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The committee is comprised of Schuyler Carroll of Bowne & Co., Inc. of New York; Daniel R. Kadolph of South Elgin, Ill.; Jason J. Solomon and J. William Boone of MBHI Capital Trust IV of Wilmington, Del.; Mary C. Turke, representing M & I Marshall & Ilsley Bank of Milwaukee; and David Peck of Wheaton, Ill.

Melrose Park, Ill.-based Midwest Banc is the holding company for Midwest Bank and Trust. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 20 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Its Chapter 11 case number is 10-37319.
