MFS High Yield Opportunities Fund will get new name March 31

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 12 - The MFS High Yield Opportunities Fund will change its name to the MFS Global High Yield Fund on March 31, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund will also change the index for comparison purposes to the BofA Merrill Lynch Global High Yield - Constrained Index (USD Hedged) from the Barclays U.S. High-Yield Corporate Bond 2% Issuer Capped index to better reflect the fund's global investment strategies.

The fund seeks total return with an emphasis on high current income but also considers capital appreciation. It invests at least 80% of its net assets in high-income debt instruments.

Boston-based MFS is the investment adviser to the fund.
