S&P keeps Maersk on watch

S&P said it was keeping its ratings, including the BBB long-term issuer credit rating, on A.P. Moller - Maersk A/S (Maersk) on CreditWatch with negative implications.

The ratings were originally placed on CreditWatch on Aug. 23, 2017.

“We have extended the CreditWatch because we do not have clarity how Maersk will use the proceeds from the divestment of its energy businesses, in particular shares in Total SA, including the allocation of funds between debt reduction and shareholder remuneration,” S&P said in a news release.
