S&P ups Methanex outlook to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Methanex Corp. to stable from negative.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed the ratings, including the BBB- long-term corporate credit rating, on the company.

The agency noted that the revised outlook reflects its expectation that the company will continue to generate good cash flows despite natural gas issues at its Chile facility.

These production issues at the facility are offset by good price support, operational flexibility and low fixed charges, S&P added.
