S&P rates Metals USA notes B-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its B corporate credit rating to Metals USA Inc. S&P also assigned its B- rating to Metals USA's proposed $275 million senior secured notes comprised of both floating-rate notes due 2012 and fixed-rate notes due 2015.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the significant volatility associated with its markets and cash flows, thin margins and its very aggressive financial leverage, S&P said.

Ratings also reflect the company's variable cost structure and a fair position in its markets, S&P said.
