Metabasis Therapeutics files $75 million shelf

Washington, Feb. 3 - Metabasis Therapeutics, Inc. filed for a $75 million common stock and warrants shelf in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Securities may be issued in the form of convertibles.

The La Jolla, Calif.-based biotechnology company said proceeds from offerings would be used for general corporate purposes.
